1. Definitions

“Service” covers live lessons, consultations, assignment preparation and project delivery. A “Lesson Booking” is a scheduled live session. An “Assignment Order” is any written, coded or design deliverable. “Handover” occurs when we share final files or conduct the scheduled session. “No-show” means you miss a lesson without required notice.

3. Assignments & projects

Refund eligibility is determined by production progress. Share detailed briefs early so we can provide accurate expectations.

  • Cancel within 24 hours of ordering and before work begins for a full refund.
  • If research or drafting has started but the first milestone is pending, we refund the balance after a 20% coordination fee.
  • Once the primary draft or final files are delivered, the engagement is non-refundable. Revisions remain available within the agreed window.

4. Packages & subscriptions

Multi-session bundles deduct consumed lessons at the prevailing hourly rate before calculating refunds. Add-on credits expire 6 months from purchase unless otherwise stated.

5. How to request a refund

  1. Log into your dashboard and choose the relevant order or lesson.
  2. Click “Request cancellation / refund” and share context plus supporting documents.
  3. Our support team responds within 24 hours with approval, alternative solutions or clarifying questions.

You can also email support@teacherandtask.com with your order ID, timeframe and reason. Medical or emergency cases should include relevant documentation.

6. Refund timeline

Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. Bank processing times may extend total settlement to 14 business days.

7. Exceptions & force majeure

If Tutor illness, power outages or platform downtime disrupts a lesson, we offer a complimentary reschedule or full refund. Documented medical emergencies from learners waive late cancellation fees.

8. Quality concerns

If deliverables do not meet agreed rubrics, raise a revision request within 15 days of handover. Our QA team reviews the brief, compares outputs and arranges complimentary fixes or partial refunds where justified.

9. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of Bengaluru courts.
